Bakels Edible Oils is committed to building a more sustainable future through responsible sourcing, efficient operations and continuous improvement. Our sustainability approach focuses on climate action, responsible sourcing, environmental stewardship, and strong governance and assurance.
We measure and manage our environmental impact using recognised methodologies and independent review, including greenhouse gas reporting aligned with the GHG Protocol. In 2026, we commenced our Science Based Targets initiative programme to establish science-based emissions reduction targets and develop a structured pathway for reducing emissions across our operations and value chain.
As our programme continues to mature, we will strengthen sustainability data, expand reporting transparency, work with suppliers to better understand and reduce environmental impacts, and continue improving resource efficiency across energy, water and waste. By embedding sustainability into the way we operate, we aim to create long-term value for our customers, our people and the communities we serve.
