We celebrate our team at this year’s top night awards

The easy thing to do is save a penny and use COVID to move, shift, and cancel the things teams hold close like celebrating success and tenure. So this year we found a gap in the COVID cloud to ramp it up a level and celebrate with 120 of our team over a great feed, some music, a few laughs and dancing. Importantly we acknowledged the people who have stood by BEO for a number of years, as well as those who have done that little bit extra to take our business to the next level. This year we celebrated 30 team members who have collectively clocked up a massive 415 years between them, that’s a lot of laps around the sun.

2021 BEO BRAVO AWARDS

The BRAVO Awards are designed to formally recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions our employees make in growing our business. The Awards program consists of 6 Awards:

Most Innovative | Sustainability | Cultural Cultivator | Safety Star

Continuous Improvement | Food Safety & Quality

1.    Most Innovative Award – We are pioneers, and we want to go places. We go to great lengths to be innovative and to move the business forward. This award goes to an employee who invariably develops cutting edge ideas that help improve how we deliver to our customers and grow our business.

SAM HUGHES (Maintenance Lead)

2.    Sustainability Award – This award celebrates a person who inspires and leads others to make a difference in sustainability. This person is passionate about making change, is an inspiration to others, and has personally made an important difference to sustainability through their work. We’re looking for a sustainability champion who has encouraged us to change the way we think about sustainability. They are conscious of our impact on the planet, and they ultimately walk the sustainability talk!

 ELIZABETH THOMPSON (R&D/QA Technician)

3.    Cultural Cultivator Award – Our values of respect, integrity and dedication are the vital ingredients that this person weaves throughout all their actions, behaviours and decisions. They embody our strong family culture and our desire to Formulate the Best place to work for our people. The person who receives this Award enhances the work environment and quite simply, they make work a better place.

RAY POINTON (Tank Farm Shift Leader) & SHELLEY ROYAL (Sales Operations Manager)

4.    Safety Star Award – Nothing can be more important than keeping our people safe. A Safety Star is someone that demonstrates commitment to keeping themselves and others safe, they are inherently proactive and preventative by nature. What a star!

 RICKY LANG (Finish Hall Operator)

5.    Continuous Improvement Award – It could be a “million-dollar idea” that should be recognized or a small, low-cost, low-risk idea with a big impact on our thriving culture of continuous improvement. We want to celebrate continuous improvements, big or small. This award is for someone that has improved operational efficiencies, eliminated waste, increased productivity or taken cost out.

KIM ALEXANDER (Key Account Manager) & CAROLE CUGY (Financial Controller)

6.    Food Safety & Quality Award – We want a culture where meeting our customers’ expectations (quality) and protecting the safety of our end consumers (Product Safety) are at the core of what we do. This Award goes to a person who demonstrates positive food safety behaviours, tirelessly raising food safety and/or quality risks, and actively contributing to preventative solutions.

 CHRISTEN THOMPSON (Tank Farm Supervisor)

Congratulations to those achieved tenure milestones and our Bravo awards, those that were also nominated and thank you to the total team, not one person can achieve what they do alone!
