What's in a name?

The Bakels Group owes its name to the Dutch merchant brothers Bakels who registered the Gebr. Bakels company in Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1904. It was however the son of one of the brothers referred to above, Bernard J Bakels who would be the one to make the name Bakels known further afield than Central Europe.

Today the Bakels Group is truly global, represented on all continents through own manufacturing companies and selected agents. Bakels products are available to the bakery and confectionery industries in more than 120 countries.
